PGY2 Cardiology
-
Josephine Ngo, PharmD
Hi there! My name is Josephine Ngo, and I'm a Bay Area native born and raised in San Jose, CA. I completed my undergrad at UC Davis before moving home to attend COVID school remotely at UCSF. I returned to the Sacramento area to complete my APPE year and did rotations with the Cardiology team at UC Davis which nurtured my interest in cardiology, critical care, and anticoagulation. Therefore, one of my favorite things about residency is being able to return to the same team as a PGY-2 and continue to learn from amazing preceptors who have supported me from the start of my pharmacy career. I enjoy exploring the outdoors (hiking, beach, fishing) with my partner and our dog, new coffee and boba spots, spending time with friends and family at home, and cross stitching.

Outside of the hospital, I play video games, go on daily boba runs, and play in a volleyball league with other UC Davis pharmacists!

Alex Kuo, PharmD
Alex Kuo is a current PGY2 critical care resident from Seattle, Washington. She went to the University of Washington for her undergraduate studies where she majored in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Medical Anthropology and Global Health and appreciated her time so much that she stayed for Grade 20 and completed her pharmacy school education there. Her clinical interests include critical care and infectious disease. She is most grateful for my co-residents and preceptors for creating a close-knit community despite our large class size and many learners, being a part of the largest single site pharmacy residency program in the nation.

Spencer Hayashi, PharmD
Hello! My name is Spencer Hayashi. I was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up in Portland, Oregon. Sports have always been a big part of my life: from soccer and gymnastics to lacrosse and (most importantly) tennis. For undergrad I went to Cal Poly SLO where I studied biochemistry. My time there was amazing and I miss it every day. I moved back to Oregon and received my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Oregon State University. Within critical care, my clinical interests are in infectious diseases and cardiology. Outside of work, the things that bring me joy are food, physical activity, F1, and being outdoors.
